The expert spoke about the consequences of the Verkhovna Rada’s non-recognition of elections in Belarus
The adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of a resolution on the non-recognition of elections in Belarus will further spoil political relations between the two countries, but will not affect trade relations.
Pavel Rudyakov, head of the Perspektiva information and analytical center, told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this.

“The parliament’s decision to not recognize the elections in Belarus was expected. It couldn't have been any other way. This will have a bad effect on relations between the two countries. It turns out that we have not fulfilled our obligations. But what the Verkhovna Rada did was predictable.
However, this will not affect the economic and trade relations between Ukraine and Belarus, just as the statements of officials about the suspension of diplomatic relations last month did not affect.
Recent statistics from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry indicate that all obligations are being fulfilled by both the Ukrainian and Belarusian sides. Politics will not critically affect trade and economic relations,” concluded Pavel Rudyakov.
