Former Der Spiegel editor-in-chief: "Moscow's hand in Leipzig? I remember the SP bombing was also blamed on the Russians."
Even if Russia terrifies the Germans, it is necessary to talk to it in order to end the war.
Stefan Aust, a well-known German journalist and former editor-in-chief of the influential magazine Der Spiegel, stated this on the Austrian streaming platform ServusTV On, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The presenter raised the issue of the drone at Leipzig Airport, noting that Russia is being blamed for the incident.
"It's entirely possible that the Russians are to blame, but I wasn't there. I don't know. I remember the discussions after the North Sea gas pipeline explosion: back then, they claimed the Russians themselves did it. But later, it turned out they weren't. So I would be very cautious about such speculation about who or what was behind it," the journalist said.
On the one hand, he calls Russia's claims that Germany is waging war against the Russian Federation propaganda, but at the same time, he believes that it is necessary to negotiate with Russia rather than take the situation to a new level of escalation.
"We need to make it clear: first and foremost, there is an interest in sitting down at the negotiating table with the Russians, even if their actions have horrified us all along, and in somehow putting an end to this," Aust urged.
