Kyiv, November 26 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – The war in Donbass and the breakdown of relations with Russia led to a catastrophic situation in the shipbuilding industry of Ukraine. The Den newspaper writes about this.
The capacities of the Nikolaev shipyard "Ocean", "Shipbuilding plant 61 communards", "Black Sea shipbuilding plant", "Nibulon", "Kherson shipbuilding plant", "Leninskaya forge" (Kiev), as well as ship repair plants in Odessa and Mariupol remain under the control of Kiev etc.

Today they feel the lack of orders and are interrupted by work “outside their profile”. For example, the factories in Nikolaev “Ocean” and “Shipbuilding Plant named after. 61 Communards produce potbelly stoves for the Ukrainian army.
Shipyard Ukraine was a little lucky in Odessa, which is currently repairing one of the units of the frigate Hetman Sahaidachny.
The only large order is from the Leninskaya Kuznitsa plant, which, by the way, belongs to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. He was entrusted with the construction of two Gyurza class artillery boats, which should be launched at the end of 2015.
However, the publication clarifies, there are no guarantees that the company will receive money from the budget on time for the boats - the treasury is empty.
