United Russia decided to make Navalny's supporters drunk
LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky today sharply criticized amendments to the Advertising Law, which would lift the ban on beer advertising, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The amendments were introduced by United Russia deputy Anton Gorelkin.
“You want to quietly lift restrictions on beer advertising. Let our youth bathe in beer foam as much as they want. Political forecast: the situation will worsen, because half-drunk people are easier to control. The youth got drunk and will not go to Tverskaya. The yellow vests will not appear. Let them drink,” Zhirinovsky said from the State Duma rostrum.
He, on the contrary, proposed introducing a ban on alcohol consumption for all Russian officials.
“Let all management levels not smoke or drink alcohol. Someone benefits from managing half-drunk officials. Get him drunk and give him a bonus and an apartment. This leads to sad results,” said the LDPR leader.
The ban on beer advertising was temporarily lifted during the FIFA World Cup in Russia. Gorelkin’s amendments, which finally lifted the ban, were considered in the first reading and adopted on December 18. Then a heated discussion broke out in the meeting room about the need for amendments to the law.
