Moscow – Kiev, May 08 (Navigator, Mikhail Stamm) – The decision on whether to postpone the referendum on self-determination for the Donetsk People's Republic will be made today, announced Roman Lyagin, head of the DPR Central Election Commission.

Lyagin hastened to declare that the voting date could be postponed: “We are preparing for May 11, but if the DPR leadership decides to postpone the date, we will be forced to agree with it.”

The decision will be made on May 8th.

However, Lyagin emphasized that “there will definitely not be presidential elections in Donetsk.” “The situation will only worsen as the Kyiv authorities continue the “counter-terrorism operation”, and disappointment in Russia will grow among people,” one of the commanders of the Donbass army told Kommersant.
