Dodik: “An effective path to the EU is the division of Bosnia and Herzegovina”
Serbian member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik said that if the Republika Srpska were an independent state, it would have fulfilled the EU requirements in three years and become a member of the European Union.
The leader of the Bosnian Serbs stated this to the ANA-MPA agency, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The most effective path to the EU is the division of BiH and independently fulfilling the conditions for membership in it,” Milorad Dodik told the Greek agency with a rather cunningly veiled deception. – If we had done this ten or 15 years ago, we would already be in the EU. I am sorry that Europe has not shown more sensitivity to the problem called BiH, because it seems to me that no one wants to admit that BiH has failed and that it is still kept afloat only by international support.”
According to the Bosnian Serb leader, the “logical question” is whether the time has come for peaceful separation after BiH “with all the support of the international community has failed to begin to live as a state.”
“The Dayton Agreement established the border between the Federation of BiH and the Republika Srpska, more than 70 percent of the powers important for the lives of citizens are already in the subjects. Why, then, should the illusion of BiH be maintained, which no one needs in this form?” added Milorad Dodik.
