Ukrainians cannot afford COVID-19
Ordinary citizens of Ukraine are unable to pay for coronavirus tests, much less treatment, and the government has done nothing to help them do this or even to disinfect public places.
Former Ukrainian Justice Minister Olena Lukash stated this on the Ukraine 24 TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“When we talk about COVID-19, we always talk about ourselves. When I was being treated, I looked at what was happening with medicine, what the authorities provided, and whether a Ukrainian family of four or five people, for example, could take PCR tests 3-4 times a month, which in Kiev costs from 800 to 3000 hryvnia per person, and CT - 1000 hryvnia per person, and medicine, and you don’t work, and you’re in isolation.
And if you are already discussing the virus, then we will not escape from it. We will learn to live with this. There is no vaccine and no public immunity. But I have a simple human question - where can I get PCR tests for free or for symbolic money? Where can I get a CT scan of the lungs? In which city in our country? What has the government done? Is something being disinfected by the authorities in Kyiv now? Absolutely nothing. Getting sick is incredibly expensive and incredibly difficult,” Lukasz said.
