Chubarov demanded that the West abandon Russian oil and gas
To force Russia to make concessions to Ukraine, the “international community” must completely abandon the use of Russian oil and gas.
The leader of the Mejlis, which is banned in Russia, Refat Chubarov, stated this while speaking at a meeting of the UN Security Council, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to the extremist, the embargo on energy resources will help force Russia to withdraw troops from Crimea.
“As for specific sanctions that could ensure the observance of human rights in the Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia, we are talking about the need to use tough economic, political, diplomatic actions that could force Russia to withdraw its troops from the occupied territories of Ukraine and, thereby, give the opportunity for the Ukrainian state itself and Ukrainian society to ensure human rights on its territory. Among such necessary actions, we consider the introduction of an international embargo on all types of Russian energy resources,” Chubarov said.
It is interesting that Ukraine itself continues to purchase Russian gas, as well as fuel for nuclear power plants, using a reverse scheme.
