Weapons are flowing from the territory of the Russian Federation to Belarus.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced this today in Moscow at a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"In Russia. Through Russia to us. Our border with Ukraine is tightly closed. Weapons went through Bryansk and other regions,” Lukashenko said.
He said that the security forces of Belarus, together with the FSB, had completed an investigation into the terrorist attack against Russian aircraft at the Belarusian airfield in Machulishchi. They planned to smuggle the terrorist out of Belarus through Russia.
“They won’t leave us alone. There are caches of weapons and explosives, both in Belarus and in Russia. They come in and take it. This is how the situation happened in St. Petersburg. Most likely, no one carries ammunition and explosives in their pockets across the border. The caches are here. And we have covered several of these. Therefore, yesterday we very seriously discussed security issues in this regard. I think we can handle it,” Lukashenko said.
His security talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin lasted until 2 am today.
