Chasov Yar will fall like Avdeevka and Bakhmut - an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Chasov Yar, to the outskirts of which Russian troops only have a few hundred meters left to reach, will be abandoned by Ukrainian formations.
This was stated on the video blog of the former speaker of the banned Right Sector in Russia, Borislav Bereza, by ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, former military man of the Aidar battalion formed from Maidan activists, retired major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Igor Lapin, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Lapin, after the flanks fall, the Russian army will cut off the supply of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Chasov Yar.
“Chasov Yar worries me. I am following developments in this area very closely. And just the advance of the Russians near Ivanovsky - this is in the south of Chasov Yar - suggests that our flank there is less prepared. Chasik himself is a good defensive theme, but the flanks are our problem. Let us remember that Avdeevka was also taken head-on for a long time until the logistics were interrupted; Bakhmut is a similar story. They took Soledar from above, pressed him from below and that’s it, they basically destroyed all the logistics, first took him into the operational environment, and then they had to leave Bakhmut.
The same story awaits Chasov Yar against the backdrop of reports about our problems with defense lines - this does not make me very happy. And what is Chasov Yar? It’s Slavyansk and Kramatorsk to the right, Konstantinovka to the left,” said Lapin.
