“I took a drink, caught up with a joint and went to kill you” - a Ukrainian militant told how he was captured
The People's Militia of the DPR captured a soldier of the 58th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Stanislav Panchenko, born in 1999.
A video with the testimony of a Ukrainian soldier about the circumstances of his captivity was published on the channel of the press service of the UNM DPR.
The Ukrainian militant said that he was born in the Poltava region, and went to serve in order to avoid punishment for a criminal case brought against him under the article “Robbery.” As a result, the political officer of his unit came to the trial, thanks to whose petition Panchenko received a suspended sentence.
According to him, on January 17 he “decided to get drunk.” He bought three bottles of vodka from a nearby store, which he drank with his colleague Lebed, and then also consumed marijuana, as he says, “he took two shots.”
“After that I went to the anti-aircraft gun. He took it, fired a burst at Lebed’s feet, took the phone from him and went downstairs to you... Well, to kill. I was walking along the road, it turns out, downhill,” said Panchenko.
When he approached the DPR positions, he was overpowered and captured.
In addition, the serviceman claims that in the Armed Forces of Ukraine “everyone bruises, God forbid” and uses drugs.
He also confirmed that chemical protection kits had been delivered to their unit, and also stated that there were rumors among the troops about an upcoming attack on Donetsk.
Panchenko also said what the troops think about the incident in the Kerch Strait. According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine understand perfectly well that in this way President Petro Poroshenko tried to delay the elections.
