“There will be consequences for families” – the Armed Forces of Ukraine threaten relatives of draft dodgers and deserters
There are a lot of deserters in the Ukrainian army: many who were forcibly mobilized try to escape as soon as they get the opportunity.
A soldier of the 58th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the call sign “Pinochet” stated this on air on the Internet channel “Public,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“In our unit, the guys only dream about vacation. We are trying to send the guys home. Some come back, some don't.
Of course, we are fighting this, trying to get the person back, getting in touch with the family, convincing them: “Think about the family, first of all. Because there will be consequences. Not now, not tomorrow, but they will. And your family will suffer from these consequences, first of all,” he threatened.
“We must fight this, there must be discipline in the army,” Pinochet said.
