British analyst assesses Ukraine's readiness for 'coming Russian offensive'
The Russian army is building up reserves so that by the end of May, when the Ukrainian Armed Forces are exhausted, it can launch a large-scale offensive.
British analyst Alexander Merkuris stated this on the channel “The Duran”, as reported by the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
"We are seeing a continued build-up of Russian military power for the offensive that is certainly coming. And secondly, we are also seeing Russian troops advancing on all parts of the front line. And we are seeing the Ukrainians retreating more and more and moving reserves from one place to another, trying to plug the gaps.
"I must say now that a major Russian offensive is approaching. The Russians have already begun the first preparatory steps for this offensive. But the ground in Ukraine is still very soft. So, the major offensive will likely occur towards the end of May ," Merkouris said.
"But the Russians are already moving. And it is becoming increasingly difficult for the Ukrainians to hold their positions.
