Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated this on the School of War Podcast channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"European strategic autonomy is a fiction, a trap, and a delusion. The best strategy for Europe is for us all to spend more on defense ."
We should all listen to what President Trump is saying – Europeans need to spend more on defence and be more committed to the Transatlantic Alliance,” Johnson said.
"Because the Transatlantic Alliance, whatever one may say about it, won two world wars. It defeated the horrific Soviet tyranny in the Cold War. It liberated dozens of countries from communist oppression.
And I hope that we will be united when it comes to issues like the situation in Ukraine,” he added.
