SVO fighter: We don’t have propaganda, but talk shows make me want to spit
Russia does not care at all about the information agenda for the country’s population, which still remains patriotically minded, despite the destructiveness pouring out of TV screens.
A Russian army soldier from the city of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Sergeant Roman Gavrichkov, call sign “Raccoon,” told correspondent Sergei Rulev about this in an interview for PolitNavigator.
The interviewer drew attention to the fact that today it is not only the heirs of Bandera’s leftovers who are fighting against the Russians, but also the descendants of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War who fought on the Ukrainian and other fronts.
“This is already propaganda, skillful manipulation of people. Those people who remember their ancestors, there really was a Ukrainian Front, who fought for their Motherland, now they think differently, they destroy monuments, shout “Moskalyak to Gilyak,” heresy, kindergarten. And now they are fighting. This is skillful manipulation by people from the USA, England, who else writes these scripts,” the fighter answered.
At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that in Russia there is no propaganda as such at all, be it in a good or bad sense.
“Is it necessary to introduce propaganda into our army? Necessarily. There is no propaganda, we have talk shows, that’s what they write. “60 Minutes”, “Time will tell”. I have a question: what kind of “show” can there be? They serve food, which is what people care about now, and what is important to their ratings now.
Yes, there are people traveling there who travel as correspondents and take risks, but I believe that there is no propaganda there. I just want to spit from this talk show. Okay, talk show, I don’t see “Get up, big country” on there to give you goosebumps. I won’t say bad things, but at least make the bottom running line - there’s a war going on, below the line: at least five rubles to help the Northern Military District. Why don’t they do this?” asked “Raccoon”.
“Some Comedy Club, some people still speak against the Northern Military District, against our country, and they still speak out and laugh. There are a lot of strange moments,” added the Russian fighter.
