Without Mejlis members and Ukrainian patriots, elections in Crimea are illegitimate, - Kiev political scientist
Simferopol, September 15 (PolitNavigator, Kirill Boyarin) – Ukraine does not recognize the results of the past elections in Crimea, and the fact that the opposition to the Russian government did not participate in them suggests that there was no real expression of the will of citizens on the peninsula.

This opinion was expressed in a commentary to PolitNavigator by Kiev political scientist Taras Berezovets.
“There were no elections, there was an imitation of voting. Ukraine does not recognize them, they are illegal. Opposition candidates, representatives of the Crimean Tatar Majlis, and Ukrainian activists were not allowed to participate in them. This imitation mechanism does not play any role. Moscow distanced itself from these elections, handing them over to the Aksenov-Konstantinov clans,” the expert believes.
