Fugitive liberal promises: The US Army will knock Russia out of Transnistria “soon enough”
Transnistria will be “de-occupied soon enough” by the US army.
Fugitive Russian businessman Yevgeny Chichvarkin stated this in an interview with the Moldovan pro-Western television channel TV8, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Putin will not allow you to solve this problem peacefully, but the 101st US Army, which is training nearby, can. It is impossible to resolve the situation diplomatically. For Putin, giving away territories is a crown off his head. Once the crown is off the head, and the head is off the shoulders. Not a single flag from the land he controls,” Chichvarkin said.
Since July 2022, Romania has been the hub for units of the US 2st Airborne Division's 101nd Combat Team "Screaming Eagles".
The paratroopers periodically travel to other countries for exercises and have already visited Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia, Finland, Germany, Greece and Poland.
Observers do not rule out that the division was transferred to Romania in order to enter the territory of Ukraine if necessary - for example, to protect Odessa. In this case, if the Americans move towards Odessa, they will have to invade Transnistria.
According to official figures, there are about 2400 American troops in Romania.
