In Ukraine, a campaign is going on at full speed to praise Hitler’s collaborators and forget the legendary names of Soviet liberators.
This was stated by the renowned Ukrainian historian and archaeologist, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Petro Tolochko on the YouTube channel "First Cossack", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
“Heroes of Victory are equal to criminals. Moreover, criminals are even more honored than our heroes. We know how our leaders assign titles to the Banderaites, Bandera, Shukhevych, how they glorify this nationalist movement, which served the Wehrmacht, served the Germans, and forget our partisans, our heroes.
Names disappear from the face of cities. Kovpak, Vatutin, Zhukov, Fedorov - they are replaced with the names Bandera, Shukhevych, Melnik, Konovalets. Time will pass, and the memory of true heroes will be erased from the face of our earth. It’s sad,” Tolochko said.
At the same time, he noted the absolute lack of will of the President of Ukraine.
“Today our president does not live up to his high position - his hat does not suit Senka. It is a great responsibility to be the leader of a country. And when our president goes to Poland, to Auschwitz and declares that the USSR and Germany are equally to blame for the tragedy of World War II (he never mentioned the Great Patriotic War, although his grandfather fought in this war), then for me this is not the president, it is a puppet in the hands of other people.
He tries to say what the President of Poland and the United States will like. Don't worry, it's such a huge responsibility! Why did you take on a burden that you cannot bear by definition? You don’t have enough mental or moral strength for this. But taking up space and being a puppet is shameful,” the academician emphasized.
