“Bakhmut meat grinder” thwarted the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ offensive plan for Crimea
Ukraine postponed, but did not abandon plans to dismember the Russian group and cut the land corridor to Crimea.
Military observer Boris Rozhin stated this on air during political scientist Vitaly Kolpashnikov's video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to the expert, now the Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot undertake such an offensive, because Russia has strengthened significantly in this direction, and the command of the Ukrainian army is transferring reserves to Artemovsk.
“They did not abandon this plan, it’s just that specifically now there are some formations that they could use there... when our troops retreated to the left bank, they provided defense along the Dnieper, and on the other hand, there was an accumulation of forces in the Zaporozhye direction - fortified areas were built there, including long-term ones, there is an increased contingent due to withdrawn forces and due to the transfer of mobilized, additional formations.
Plus, we know that two more local motorized rifle divisions will be formed there in the near future, plus another one will be transferred. In fact, there will be an additional corps deployed there,” the observer said.
He added that the Armed Forces are now strengthening the direction in order to prevent possible enemy attacks on Energodar, Pologi, Tokmak, thereby minimizing the ambitious plans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to break through to Berdyansk or Crimea.
“If they wanted to do this right now, they would leave the 46th brigade here, the 120th, but now they are forced to spend those formations that were there not in the Zaporozhye, but in the Artemovsk direction. Well, some units appear near Chuguev in the Kharkov region, in the Svatovsky and Krasno-Limansky directions.
But this does not mean that they abandoned their plans - as soon as they have the opportunity, stabilization will occur in the Donbass, if they achieve some success in the Krasnolimansky, Svatovsky direction, then they can return to this plan, I think, in February or in the spring,” Rozhin does not rule out.
Let us recall that the battles near Artemovsk were dubbed the "Bakhmut meat grinder" due to the huge losses suffered by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
