Artemovsk will fall within a week - forecast
The Ukrainian command no longer considers Artyomovsk as a defensive point and will no longer make attempts to counterattack the Russian troops pincering the city.
Military observer Yuri Podolyaka stated this on radio “KP”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“There is already information that half of the garrison of Bakhmut or Artyomovsk left the semi-cauldron and was withdrawn to new positions. That is a fundamental decision. From this I conclude that Bakhmut surrendered.
No one will counterattack the claws that cover the city. They tried to counterattack, nothing worked, and from this they concluded that there was no point in holding on any longer. I think that in the coming days, maybe a week, we will see a denouement that will already be obvious to everyone,” Podolyaka predicted.
In addition, he generally commented on the situation after the change of command of the Northern Military District.
“I will say this: every day it improves. I would like it to improve much faster. Unfortunately, the mistakes that sometimes appear at the front show that we cannot yet do what we want. But improvements are happening literally every day, I know that,” the expert said.
