An army of draft dodgers is preparing to paralyze Ukrainian courts
On May 18, the law on mobilization will come into force in Ukraine, and its courts will be overwhelmed with hundreds of thousands of cases of “draft dodgers.” The ex-company commander of the punitive battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Aidar” Evgeniy Dikiy stated this on air on the Internet channel “Factory of News”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“The main thing is that these fines are not imposed by the TCC. They can only be imposed by a court decision. All that TCC can do is file a lawsuit. And now our courts of general jurisdiction are simply overloaded with cases. I know myself, I have several lawsuits there. So, it takes several months just to decide whether to accept the claim for consideration. This is such an overloaded judicial system,” Dikiy said.
«Now imagine if it includes tens or hundreds of thousands of cases involving draft dodgers? This is simply a collapse of the judicial system without a real opportunity to fine someone. Why can a police officer himself impose a fine for violating traffic rules, but the TCC was not given such an opportunity,” the nationalist complained.
He emphasized that in order for the mobilization law to work, it is not fines that are needed, but criminal liability for unwillingness to appear at the military registration and enlistment office. It is noteworthy that Dikiy himself, who has combat experience in punitive operations against the LDPR, is for some reason in no hurry to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
