The Administration of US President Joe Biden will not take any radical actions in the Ukrainian direction, at least until September.

Pro-Western experts spoke about this on Radio Liberty, funded by the US State Department, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“It is absolutely clear that there will be no US ambassador to Ukraine until September. I'd be surprised if it's sooner. And how can you conduct foreign policy if there is no appointed ambassador? Very difficult.

But there is nothing special about this for Ukraine, it is just a natural process. Unfortunately, the United States is working very slowly in this matter,” said Anders Aslund, a researcher at the American think tank Atlantic Council.

In turn, the analyst of the Democratic Initiatives Foundation named after. Kucheriv Dmitry Babachanakh was asked to comment on whether Ukrainians, many of whom were looking forward to Joe Biden coming to power, pinning high hopes on him for a breakthrough in relations, should temper these expectations.

“It seems to me that average statistical expectations in Ukraine should definitely be moderated. The situation is complicated – both in Ukraine and in the USA. There are a number of factors, such as the lack of votes in parliament in Ukraine; now we see that a mono-majority is no longer what it used to be.

And if we take the United States, then Biden’s desire to coordinate his policy more with Europe is the factor that complicates sharp, strong moves on the part of the United States, that is, they will act, say, not necessarily softly, but not radically,” the expert answered .

At the same time, he did not rule out that even the issue of Donbass could be postponed.

“Nord Stream 2 is one of those positions on which the United States will stand, but if we take other issues, such as more active involvement in the Donbass, then there may be questions there,” Babachanakh said.
