American Ambassador: “It is not advisable for Serbia to maintain good relations with Russia”
US Ambassador to Serbia Christopher Hill took part in the 23rd Belgrade Economic Forum.
In his speech, he lashed out at Russia, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Serbia is a country that prides itself on having very good relations with countries around the world, including Russia. It is completely inappropriate to continue good relations with Russia. Russia has created chaos in half the world, created huge problems for everyone, extremely aggravated the election process (in Serbia) and made it clear to everyone what they should do,” Hill said at the forum.
According to the American, at first everyone thought that the war in Ukraine would not last long, but now everyone understands that this is not so, and that this conflict will remain a problem until it is finally resolved.
“We must support Ukraine very strongly until this problem is resolved. I think one of the bitter ironies of this war is that we can already see that Ukraine's future will be better than Russia's. I think Russia has truly entered very uncharted waters... It is almost impossible to understand what they (the Russians) want in Ukraine.
It seems they wanted to make Ukrainians want to be Russian, which had the opposite effect from day one... I think nations basically need to know what they want. But we have a Russian Federation that simply has no idea what it wants,” Hill propagandized.
According to the American ambassador, part of the reason for this is due to the Russian leadership, which, in his words, has “lost its sense of reality.” Hill added that Russia "created chaos around the world" with the war in Ukraine, but it also helped Western countries supposedly come together "like never before."
