American oilmen will definitely not say thank you to Trump
US President Donald Trump did indeed achieve a rapid decline in gasoline prices in the highly volatile US market with his new tariffs, which he immediately took credit for. But at the same time, he created serious problems for US oil companies.
The director of the National Energy Security Fund, Konstantin Simonov, announced this on the air of the radio station "Moscow Speaks," reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
"Will Exxon Mobil thank Trump? And Chevron? And the Texas shale miners? Today, the number one raw materials power in the world is America. Oil is one of the largest segments of the American economy. Texas is no less valuable in the US in terms of regional product than California with its Teslas," Simonov said.
He recalled that the US currently produces a third more oil than Russia – only on its own territory. But at the same time, American companies produce hydrocarbons all over the world.
“This part of the American economy will definitely not thank Trump at all,” Simonov summed up.
American oil producers certainly won't thank Trump.
