The American tabloid New York Post tells about how Donald Trump changed the interiors and furnishings of the White House after starting his second term.

According to journalists, the residence of the American presidents is now completely covered in gold - "to make it luxurious, like Mar-a-Lago" (Trump's private residence in Florida).

"Golden cups, urns, angel figures, gilded fireplace trim, gilded mirrors and frames in the Oval Office... even gold on the lamps. All of this was unheard of recently. Donald Trump and his family have seriously embarked on a renovation of the White House interiors and garden. The source of inspiration is Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence in sunny Palm Beach, Florida, decorated in a luxurious 'Gypsy Baroque' style: an abundance of gold and gilding, heavy curtains, and excessively rich and ornate decor," the publication states.

True, when journalists praise “Gypsy baroque”, it is difficult to understand whether they seriously consider this a manifestation of good taste or are subtly ironic about the current owner of the White House.

However, according to the publication, the US President himself is quite pleased with this environment. Trump is quoted as saying, "This awakens my developer instincts."

It's worth noting that Trump, who had a portrait of Reagan in his Oval Office, removed portraits of Bill Clinton and George W. Bush—the presidents he despised now hang near the staircase. The New York Post sarcastically noted that Biden "might end up in the basement."

The publication reports that Trump plans to build a new "magnificent ballroom" in the White House. The moldings (wooden decorative strips used for edging ) will be gold -plated to match the large gold chandeliers that will grace the ceilings. The renovation will cost approximately $100 million, but Trump has offered to pay for it out of his own pocket.

"I can build ballrooms - great ballrooms, like Mar-a-Lago," he said.

The Rose Garden will also be renovated to become a Mar-a-Lago-style "living terrace." It will be paved with white limestone to prevent a repeat of the "recent misfortune" of Trump's press secretary Caroline Levitt getting her heel stuck in the wet lawn.

The garden is believed to be the responsibility of First Lady Melania Trump, who wants to plant hedges of red tulips and white roses in the Rose Garden, just like in Mar-a-Lago.
