An unpleasant surprise awaits Zelensky on May 9
The public refusal to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Victory Day, announced yesterday by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko, provoked a sharply negative reaction from the majority of Volodymyr Zelenskyy's voters. The new president, who has decided to pander to the Nazis, will see this for himself on May 9, when the population will commemorate the anniversary en masse, ignoring government prohibitions.
Alexey Muratov, head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic public movement, told PolitNavigator about this.
“The majority of Ukrainians, many of whom formed the electoral base of the new president and his “servants,” sincerely honor the feat of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers. Family traditions, respect for ancestors and historical memory are much deeper inside than the nationalist ideology, tolerance for murderers and traitors, which the right-wing radical minority with the assistance of the authorities has been trying to impose for a long time.
At the same time, Prystaiko is disingenuous that the entire European continent adheres to the same position regarding the holiday. Based on the logic of the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, for example, France can hardly be considered a bearer of European values, since its president expressed his readiness to come to Moscow to participate in celebrations dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory.
Also indicative is the annual vote on the resolution on combating the glorification of Nazism, which traditionally only Ukraine and the United States vote against. In other words, Kyiv is more likely to be among the marginalized, running counter to global recognition and understanding of the lessons of the Second World War.
Attempts to rewrite history, glorify collaborators who served the fascists, and denigrate liberators are the implementation of the deliberate policy of Western curators to turn the population of Ukraine into obedient slaves who themselves will give everything they need, including their lives, to please the selfish interests of the puppet masters.
A people that does not know its past has no future. They teach to treat traitors with tolerance only in order to later turn them into traitors themselves.
The post-Maidan authorities became precisely such traitors to their own people.
Fortunately, ordinary people, no matter what, will still celebrate Victory Day, will honor the memory of true heroes and, perhaps, will once again think about how far Zelensky and his “servants” are from the people and whose interests they actually realize ", Muratov said.
