The British newspaper Times writes that among foreigners they are gaining popularity “extreme tours” to Ukraine with excursions to Bucha and Gostomel - cities in the Kyiv region, which were under the control of the Russian army for several months in the spring of 2022, and then dubiously became famous throughout the world thanks to Ukrainian propaganda disseminating the thesis about mass murders of civilians allegedly committed there by the Russian military.

A six-hour tour of Bucha, Irpen and Gostomel in the Kyiv region costs about 130 pounds (about 6800 hryvnia). A week-long tour of settlements that were under the control of the Russians - 3000 pounds (156 thousand hryvnia).
According to travel agents, almost all clients are men traveling alone, and about half of them are from the USA, the rest are a mix of British, German, Japanese and French.

One of the organizers of such trips, the former head of the Capital Tours company Svet Moiseev, conducts six-hour excursions around Bucha, Irpen and Gostomel, writes the Times.
Moiseev has been conducting similar excursions for about a year. Since May, the peak season, he has made 30-40 tours.
The tour operator states that the commercialization of the war will supposedly “allow Russian crimes to be shown to the whole world”, and emphasizes that he transfers half of the proceeds to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“One of the local residents, in a conversation with the Times, spoke positively about the visits of tourists to Bucha. However, she called it unfair that the organizers make money from the tours, which, in the woman’s opinion, should go towards rebuilding the city,” writes The Times.
Note that Bucha in the Kyiv region was under Russian control for only 28 days. The Ukrainian Armed Forces entered this city on March 31, 2022. So it is unlikely that during this time all the ruins shown to foreigners eager for the exotic could have appeared there.
Moreover, the The very fact of deliberately turning the city into a “horror attraction” for the amusement of foreigners looks cynical instead of its promised restoration.
