Kuchma's son-in-law was on the verge of bankruptcy
The famous Ukrainian oligarch, son-in-law of ex-President Leonid Kuchma, Viktor Pinchuk, went bankrupt and cannot pay off his debts, so he is forced to sell his property.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the Nash TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Pogrebinsky recalled that Pinchuk was one of the people close to the American speculator George Soros and was considered almost the curator of his personnel in Ukraine.
“From what I heard from fairly authoritative people, Pinchuk is ruined. He cannot pay off the debts that now hang over him,” Pogrebinsky said.
At the same time, according to the expert, Pinchuk’s place will not be empty for long, since over many years the Soros Foundation in Ukraine has nurtured followers:
"A holy place is never empty. In his place there will be others who will be happy to perform this function. And we have quite a lot of such people - hundreds of young people went through at least ten years of school through Soros grants and all that, and received additional education in America.”
Pinchuk is the owner of a number of TV channels in Ukraine, which conduct an anti-Russian information campaign, often surpassing the mouthpieces of Petro Poroshenko in Russophobia.
Pinchuk also annually hosts the “Yalta European Strategy” forum, which, during the time of Ukrainian control over Crimea, was organized in the former residence of the Russian emperor, the Livadia Palace, where numerous guests from the West were invited.
After the reunification of Crimea with Russia, Pinchuk changed the venue of the forum to Kyiv, where speakers now dispute the ownership of the peninsula by the Russian Federation.
Pinchuk sponsored Hillary Clinton, who was the Democratic Party candidate in the US presidential election.
Russia previously imposed sanctions against Pinchuk, whose enterprises supplied pipes to the Russian market.
