Senior SBU officers in Donbas are pressuring military personnel in the so-called Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) zone, demanding they collect "tribute" from local residents. This was stated by Oksana Korchinskaya, a Verkhovna Rada member and wife of the leader of the Bratstvo (Brotherhood) group, banned in Russia, on the internet channel "Vsemirno-Brovarskoye Television," according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to her, SBU officers force the military to clear paths for transporting contraband and encourage the local population to rob.

“The people who are hated are the SBU officers - colonels, lieutenant colonels, mostly, who approach our commanders and offer them there, hinting that they know everything about some suspicious schemes. “Come on, share your share. You make some schemes, create passages for the double bass, benefit the local population, and we will turn a blind eye to this, just share with us,” Korchinskaya said.
