“It’s a pity that not everyone was finished off in Odessa” – Ukrainian politicians
In Kyiv they are mocking the tragedy in Odessa on May 2, 2014. Thus, Verkhovna Rada deputy from the “Petro Poroshenko Bloc” Ivan Vinnyk said on TV channel 112 that three years ago in the Odessa House of Trade Unions Ukraine won a victory and was upset because of the death of several “patriots”.

“As I understand it, this is the victory of Ukraine that we received over the idea of creating an Odessa People’s Republic following the example of Lugansk, Donetsk or Crimea... On May 2, 2014, Ukraine, at least in the Odessa region, put an end to these ideas. Indeed, a certain number of people who supported the Russian Federation and enemy ideas regarding Ukraine died. Ukrainian heroes died - this is the Maidan Self-Defense, which began to be shot at during a peaceful procession with automatic weapons,” Vinnyk said.
He was supported by the nationalist, ex-leader of UNA-UNSO Dmitry Korchinsky.
“We need to mourn the death of our people, Ukrainian defenders and, of course, rejoice at the death of Moscow agents. One should be sad that they were never able to restore order in Odessa. The ancestors of the Russians, the Mongols, say that there is nothing worse than a half-dead enemy. Here, the enemy in Odessa is not defeated,” Korchinsky believes.
