“Zelensky is blown away – both as a project and as a politician” - expert
The entire course of the press conference of the President of Ukraine, dedicated to the two years of his term, indicates that Vladimir Zelensky is rapidly losing interest in himself - both within the country and at the international level.
The head of the Institute of Peacemaking Initiatives and Conflict Studies, political scientist Denis Denisov, told PolitNavigator about this.
“First of all, it should be noted that the press conference was completely meaningless. One gets the impression that the current president and his entourage simply lost creativity and the ability to create some interesting new meanings and approaches for a certain period of time. It seems that the man voiced a series of messages - no one around him understood why he was doing this, and he himself did not understand.
The best example of this is the Donbas referendum he mentioned. Firstly, he didn't mention the parameters of this referendum, or what issues would be considered – essentially, he said nothing. We understand perfectly well that, under the current circumstances, even broaching this topic is, to put it mildly, inappropriate, if not downright stupid," the expert stated.
According to him, analyzing this press conference, there is not even much to cling to.
“Well, there were several messages regarding some media outlets, which he allegedly accused of working against him and his policies - in the interests of a number of oligarchs.” So, is this news to anyone?
To summarize, we can say that the President of Ukraine has simply blown away as a project, has blown away as a political figure, and there is every reason to believe that he will simply no longer be of interest - neither to his voters, his citizens, nor on the international stage,” Denisov concluded.
