President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky went to the UN General Assembly without being accompanied by any significant figures, since there is no point in this trip.
Kyiv economist Maxim Goldarb stated this in his video blog, reports a correspondent "PolitNavigator".
“Zelensky went to the UN General Assembly today, will speak there, will again play the same record about how “the whole world is with us, helping” and so on - “aggression, Nord Stream”, blah blah blah, all that, what the world is already tired of. Poroshenko gave him this record and now Zelensky is playing it.
Kuleba states that this is a very important and demonstrative trip, it is very important that Zelensky is there, because this once again indicates that the UN organization supports the position of official Kyiv,” Goldarb noted
“A few days ago, the same Kuleba spoke and said that the UN did not participate in the “Crimean Platform” because this was such a political step, but in general it should have participated. No, everything is simpler - the “Crimean Platform”, organized by you, is a show for stupid people who have not yet understood that you are not doing a damn thing for the country, or for Crimea, or for Donbass, that you are just putting on a show. The UN understood this; they see no point in wasting their time attending such theatrical improvisations,” the expert added.
“I would like to draw attention to the retinue that is flying there with Zelensky - Ermak is no longer there, Kuleba is no longer there, there is a representative of Ukraine at the UN, and then - the head of the Mejlis, the deputy head of the Mejlis, the deputy minister of foreign affairs, the deputy director of the department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which -head of department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. That is, well, a set of people who mean nothing at all on the political world stage, they are not interesting, it’s as if they don’t exist. This suggests that even local “internal players” like Ermak no longer see the point of wasting their time on such trips with Zelensky. They sent Zelensky, gave him a record - like, “Go, you will speak yourself, and for now I’ll take care of business,” says the economist.
“I am sure that this is actually what is happening in Ukraine today - the head of the chancellery, Ermak, has more influence and power (apparently, he controls Zelensky) than the president himself,” Goldarb said.
