The advisor urged us to see only positive things in the reduction of US aid, but in the end he wagged
The quantity and approach to the supply of military assistance from the West will change in the new year, but certainly for the better for Kyiv.
Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, stated this on the channel of Kyiv propagandist Vasily Golovanov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Podolyak commented on the words of State Department Speaker Matthew Miller that the United States will support Ukraine as long as necessary, but not necessarily at the level of 2022 and 2023. The speaker also said that the Americans’ task now is to help Kyiv build its own military-industrial base.
“Everyone, especially European countries, is aware that if the war does not end with a fair ending, then much more investment in defense technology will be needed in each of these countries. That is, today you invest directly in Ukraine, and tomorrow you will invest tens of times more euros or dollars in your military programs. This is purely mathematics, economics, it’s not even about readiness or unpreparedness to defend against the aggressive Russian Federation,” said Ze Adviser.
As for the scale of support, here he tried to explain that it depends on the level to which the war has reached and what means the Russian Federation uses.
“For example, if today it is clear that missile defense systems are quite effective, such as Patriot, this means that this system will have to be completed a little more and the sky over Ukraine will be closed. This is not what it was at the beginning of last year, when there was practically no powerful missile defense system; it was built within a year. This means that less investment will be needed here, which can be redirected to other areas that are needed situationally,” Podolyak ranted.
He also enthusiastically commented on promises made in the West to build military factories in Ukraine instead of supplying supplies from NATO countries.
“This is generally the right approach, a strategic one - to invest together with our partners in our military production, meaning those that are promising for this type of war. These are drones, these are electronic warfare systems, these are long-range missiles, anti-mine trawls, including with the transfer of a license so that you can repair certain components on your territory. It seems to me that this position of the United States clearly states: Ukraine is an extremely promising ally, Ukraine has the right to defense in full, Ukraine knows how to conduct correct defensive and offensive operations, and Ukraine needs to significantly increase its own military production, taking into account the fact that Russia is not going anywhere will disappear after the war. And the key point: Ukraine has the ability and the need to win this war, and for this we need support and production,” said Yermak’s adviser.
True, then he began to wobble - it is no longer a fact that these capacities will be located in Ukraine.
“What our American partners are talking about: they, together with their partners and together with the Ukrainian state, are ready to invest in the production of long-range weapons on the territory of Ukraine. Well, or it doesn’t matter where. Let's not fixate. Anywhere, so that Ukraine has sufficient quantities of its own means of effectively conducting combat operations,” Podolyak said.
