Russia's latest military developments will make no sense as long as Western bloc countries are confident that Moscow will not use them.
The former head of the Nativ intelligence service, military expert Yakov Kedmi, stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They [the West] know what weapons Russia has. And new nuclear weapons. They also know that Russia will not use it. And as long as she doesn’t use it, what difference does it make what weapon she has?
Here's an exercise in logic. If the US now had the same strategic superiority in nuclear weapons as Russia, would Russia still exist?
Their psychology is completely different. Yes, military theory requires that if the enemy has a weapon, we must assume that he uses it. This applies to all countries of the world, except Russia, which does not use it.
And that’s why they can afford to do everything they do: “So what if you have Poseidon, Sarmat, Dagger - you won’t use it against us. And we will do whatever we want,” Kedmi said.
“They might be unpleasantly surprised ,” noted TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov.
“When they are surprised, they will be different after that. In the meantime, they act as they are used to. And who taught them to do this? Russia. So don’t be surprised that they look at you like that,” the expert explained.
