Two SBU officers, detained as part of the crews of Ukrainian Navy ships in the Sea of ​​Azov, had previously taken part in hostilities in the Donbass.

“Employees of the Department for Supervision of Compliance with Laws in the Military Sphere of the General Prosecutor's Office of the LPR received information that two employees of the military counterintelligence of the SBU, detained on November 25 as part of the crews of three ships of the Ukrainian Navy in the Sea of ​​Azov, had previously taken part in hostilities in the Donbass. These are Andrei Leonidovich Drach and Vasily Viktorovich Soroka,” the message says.

This information is currently being verified by department officials.

“If it is confirmed, the specified SBU officers will be summoned to the LPR Prosecutor General’s Office to give evidence on the merits, in the framework of previously initiated criminal cases on the grounds of a crime under Article 440 of the LPR Criminal Code – “Genocide” and parts 1 and 2 of Article 439 of the LPR Criminal Code “Use of prohibited means and methods of warfare,” the prosecutor’s office noted.
