“It’s time to go to prison for words about the united Ukrainian and Russian people” - ex-adviser to the head of the SBU
It’s time to define statements about the federalization of Ukraine and denial of the existence of a Ukrainian nation separate from the Russians as crimes.
Ex-adviser to the head of the SBU (2016-2019) Sergei Savchenko stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Everyone knows the general theses of the ideology of the Russian World: Ukrainians and Russians are a single people, Ukraine has never existed before, Ukrainians are younger brothers, Ukraine belongs to the Russian cultural and mental space, and so on.
There are many more such theses. In our opinion, they need to be processed and narratives developed that can be defined as crimes,” said the Russophobe.
“For example, an objection to the existence of the modern Ukrainian people as a separate nation, propaganda of a federal structure of Ukraine as the only possible one for the existence of our country, justification for the annexation of Crimea, an objection to the fact of military aggression in Donbass, and others can be used as a crime,” Savchenko demanded.
