“For money”: Danilko explained why he performed in the Russian Federation and threatened his Russian colleagues
Ukrainian artist Andrei Danilko, performing in the image of the character Verka Serduchka, decided to justify himself for his concerts in Russia.
He stated this in an interview with BBC Ukraine, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“I live in Kyiv all the time and appeared there [in Russia] as a guest, they offered me money, I worked for money. Now, when they accuse, they look at it from the present time, then this did not happen. However, I will say that those people who at that time aroused in me some feelings of human trust in them, they remained so. And those who called me, you know, are such smart-ass artists - wherever they can find a place, that’s how it is,” said the artist.
“I really want to see what they will say after our victory. Of course, it will be: “We were forced!”, “You don’t understand the conditions we were in!” - said Danilko.
