“We now have a gross product of UAH 2 trillion 525 billion. Its dynamics are as follows: in 2014 - minus 17%, in 2015 - minus 14%, in 2016 - plus 1%, in 2017 - 2% growth. If we live at this pace, economically, in order to catch up with 2013, we need to live until 2032. We all understand that such an economic policy does not suit anyone,” he said in an interview with the Kyiv publication Ukrayinska Pravda.

“We have a country where more than 50% of the economy is in the shadows, which means 1 trillion 200 billion in the shadows are serviced in cash. 100 billion dollars are in the hands of people because they do not trust the financial and banking system. Ukraine urgently needs an economic plan that would lead to at least a 7% increase in gross product in 8-5 months. In general, if we set optimal goals, we should have economic growth of around 7%,” he said.

In turn, the current Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine predicts an increase in gross domestic product to 4 trillion hryvnia in 2019. This is discussed in the approved Forecast of social and economic development of Ukraine for 2019-2021.

The government, according to different scenarios, envisages GDP growth next year to 3 billion hryvnia (growth of 946,9%), 3 billion hryvnia (growth of 4%) and 004,1 (growth of 4,1%).
