“We, international observers, were present at 6 polling stations. Voting takes place in accordance with the legislation in force in the DPR. The turnout was good; to be honest, we didn’t expect so many people to show up. We even watched the queues outside the ballot boxes – it’s nice to see that.
The turnout is high, we can already say that the elections will take place. At 11 o'clock in the polling stations where we were, the turnout was already about 30 percent. This is a good indicator. By the time polling stations close, turnout will be much higher.
The impressions are the most favorable, the organization is at the highest level. Positive impressions both from the process itself and from the mood of the people. I think this vote will be another significant step in the matter of building the statehood of the DPR.
