Yabloko supports gays, but they will vote for “personalities”
The Yabloko party is the main political force in Russia that supports homosexuals.
This was announced at a press conference in Moscow by Igor Trunov, President of the Union of Russian Lawyers, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“When we talk about elections, they say the LGBT community is not represented. This is absolutely not true. The LGBT community is represented. The Yabloko party in its election programs and documents. And they are led by representatives of this community. They put forward certain ideas and demands and attract certain activists,” Trunov said.
“Feminist and politesse,” LGBT activist Tatyana Sukhareva said that gays in Russia cannot run for parliament.
“Now an attempt to run for the State Duma, even by LGBT representatives, even by feminists, or by anyone who does not share the general line, is fraught with imprisonment. People are simply being kicked out with criminal cases. I am not a supporter of Navalny, but he has a similar situation. He is not a representative of LGBT people, but he is not agreed upon by the general line,” said Sukhareva.
At the same time, she is going to vote not for Yabloko at all, but for a representative of United Russia.
“Personally, as a voter, I will look at individuals. In all parties we have both sexists and lesbophobes. I would vote for Oksana Pushkina, even though she is in United Russia,” said Sukhareva.
United Russia deputy Vitaly Milonov admits that homosexuals are already represented in the Russian parliament.
“In general, people come to our parliament dressed and engage exclusively in legislative activity. We don’t indulge in private intercourse in our parliament. Among my friends there are no such disgraces, but I admit that there are people with their own private personal lives,” Milonov said carefully.
