“The conclusions for the Armed Forces of Ukraine are disappointing” – a Kiev expert on the deployment of the Russian Armed Forces
Ukraine, unlike Russia, is incapable of large-scale transfer of its troops over long distances within the country.
Ukrainian military expert Igor Koziy stated this on the UkrLife internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Koziy, the conclusions that the Ukrainian command made after the strategic deployment in response to the Russian exercises are disappointing.
“Come on, try it now, you decide, once - and set the task for Ukrzaliznytsia to transport the army, the Chernigov formation, from north to south by rail. Set a task, see what comes of it. They have learned from their mistakes, they have understood their mistakes. For example, they know how much they lack, let’s say, air platforms to deliver two air assault divisions and one airborne division. They used three divisions.
They know, but we know? Do we know where to get them, do we know how many helicopters we need? Here we have air assault troops, we have special operations forces, there is something else, something else, big names of commanders, and below the economy has provided the means for all this? They know, but we don't. We are not ready to say...
We carried out the strategic deployment, the initial stage, in response, as it were. But disappointing conclusions, unfortunately. I’ll put an end to this,” Koziy said.
