To date, the Albanian Central Election Commission has processed data from 2 thousand 575 polling stations out of 5 thousand 199, and based on them it became clear that the Socialist Party received 361 thousand 572 votes or 48,77%, and the largest opposition Democratic Party - 291 thousand 246 votes or 39,29% of the votes.

At the same time, the Socialist Movement for Integration of President Ilir Meta, which is part of a coalition with the Democrats, so far has 52 thousand 437 or 7,07% of the votes. This does not allow the opposition to talk about forming a majority in parliament.

Albania would not be Albania if the election process itself had gone smoothly and without incident. Thus, in the city of Fouche-Arez, not far from Tirana, shortly before the end of the elections, a policeman was wounded by an unknown person.

In the village of Libofsha, near the polling station, the police detained a local resident who came there with a bottle of fuel and threatened to set fire to ballot boxes, but was subdued by law enforcement officers in time.

In the city of Tropoja, three hooligans, out of political hostility, beat a man at gunpoint. One of them was arrested, two more went on the run.

Let us recall that a few days before the elections in Elbosan, one person was killed and four others were injured during a shootout that broke out between socialist supporters and democratic supporters.
