Vucic to the President of Slovenia: “Serbia is no longer a punching bag”
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Slovenian President Barut Pahor, whose country will preside over the EU in July.
The meeting took place on the eve of the next Brdo-Brioni summit dedicated to the integration of the Western Balkans into the EU.

According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, during a conversation with a colleague from Slovenia, Vucic clearly indicated that Belgrade favors resolving the Kosovo issue, but not through the loss of this territory.
“For us, the most important issue is Kosovo, we want dialogue, and we have always been for this,” Vucic said. “Look at how frozen dialogues end, which are unfrozen every five years with new people killed.”
The President of Serbia bluntly noted that Serbia and Slovenia, as well as the West behind it, have different views on resolving the Kosovo issue.
“I agree with Mr. Pahor that changes in borders are impossible without conflict, but this should have been clear to those who changed the borders of Serbia with the help of conflict. I said that Serbia's position is based on international law, and we insist on respecting the borders of countries and the decisions of the United Nations. Serbia is no longer on its knees and is not a punching bag like it was ten years ago,” Vucic added.
