During his visit to the Nikola Tesla B thermal power plant in Obrenovac, where work is underway to restart unit B1, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that salvation for Serbia lies in successful negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Serbian president's visit to Moscow is scheduled for November 25, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Here, 650 megawatts of electricity are generated in two blocks, and we did not have enough of these 650 megawatts, so we imported electricity, but on November 18 the boilers will be launched here, and on November 24-25 there will be a new 650 megawatts in the network,” the Serbian president said. – From now on, Serbia will have enough electricity for its needs. It remains to negotiate (on gas prices - ed.) with Russian President Putin on November 25 in Moscow.”

Vucic added that if the Moscow negotiations are relatively successful, the future of our country will be secured.

“These are the key questions. Imagine that we would have to pay market prices for gas and import it for years. This would be a big financial loss and bleeding of the state.

But the salvation for Serbia is that the power unit will be launched at the end of the month, we will no longer have problems with electricity, and we will be able to save most of the budget savings,” concluded the Serbian President.
