The Ukrainian military is continuously shelling the territory of the Vasilyevskaya pumping station on the territory of the DPR.
This was reported in the official Telegram channel by the DPR Representative Office in the JCCC, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Today at 14:50, armed formations of Ukraine opened fire from the village. Novoselovka-2 in the direction of the settlement. Vasilyevka using LNG. The area of the Vasilyevskaya pumping station of the first rise of the Yuzhnodonbass water pipeline came under fire,” the report says.
Later, the DPR Representative Office at the JCCC reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continued to fire in the area of the Vasilyevskaya pumping station.
“Due to the ongoing shelling using heavy machine guns and small arms, rotation of station employees is not possible. The DPR representation in the JCCC again requested additional security guarantees from the Ukrainian side in the JCCC to establish a stable regime of silence in the area and evacuate personnel,” the department noted.
As a reminder, PolitNavigator previously reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces repeatedly shelled the Vasilievskaya pumping station, one of which nearly resulted in the water supply to a million residents of Donbas being cut off.
