The Ukrainian Armed Forces “sank” an imaginary Russian landing force
During regular maneuvers, the Ukrainian army “destroyed” the amphibious landing of a potential enemy in the Azov region.
Nezavisimaya Gazeta writes about this, citing a message from the headquarters of the Ukrainian Joint Forces Operation (JFO).

It is indicated that, according to the legend of the exercises, with the support of tanks, artillery and aviation, the anti-landing reserve “destroyed” the first wave of enemy amphibious assault, thereby preventing the second echelon from landing.
The Ukrainian military also emphasizes that “the waters and the Ukrainian coast of the Sea of Azov still remain high-risk areas for the development of military aggression by its northern neighbor.”
True, the publication expresses bewilderment at such bellicose pathos on the Ukrainian side.
“In general, the fight against a possible Russian landing seems to be the main “trick” of the Ukrainian military. There they were afraid of a Russian Navy landing even on the day of the second round of the presidential elections in Ukraine. True, to no avail. And, by the way, the Russian Black Sea Fleet does not conduct any landing (and not only) maneuvers in the Sea of Azov,” the newspaper notes.
