Meeting with Poroshenko turned into compromising evidence for Merkel
Today's meeting with Petro Poroshenko in Berlin was absolutely meaningless for German Chancellor Angela Merkel - the Ukrainian president lied or tried to discuss issues in which Kyiv does not decide anything.
Russian political scientist Oleg Matveychev told PolitNavigator about this.

“What could be the outcome there? Ukraine itself violated the Minsk process, especially with the law on the “reintegration of Donbass,” which directly contradicts Minsk-2.
Nord Stream 2 is a commercial structure of the same Gazprom, in which Germany, by the way, is a minority owner. And decisions in commercial structures are made by the board of directors, but definitely not by Poroshenko and Merkel.
Whatever they are concerned with, it is of no concern to anyone and is simply a pointless waste of time. If for Poroshenko this can still be passed off as some kind of PR within the country, that he is meeting with some Western leaders, that he is talking to them about something, and in this sense, he is, like, a person, not an animal, then For Merkel, the meeting with Poroshenko itself is rather compromising evidence. She won’t even get a PR effect from this,” Matveychev said.
