“Unlock everyone’s warehouses” – the Pentagon announced indefinite support for Ukraine
Despite the serious economic costs, Western bloc countries will continue to finance the war against Russia.
US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin stated this during a briefing on the results of Ramstein-19, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Our coalition will support Ukraine in the long term. Members of the Contact Group made it clear that we are committed to this cause.
Most leaders have committed to helping Ukraine, more than twenty countries have signed on, and are planning to support Ukraine now and in the years to come,” Austin said.
He stressed that all NATO countries will continue to chip in little by little for the war against Russia.
“And now this long-term policy is taking on actual shape. Some countries are giving Ukraine Leopard tanks, and we are also starting training pilots for the F-16. Countries also provide funding. The Netherlands, Denmark, and Norway have voiced their intention to provide F-16s, an important sign of long-term support.
Poland supplied infantry fighting vehicles, Sweden - spare parts, yesterday Germany announced a four hundred million dollar package for ammunition, and Denmark announced a package for ammunition.
This coalition of countries is doing the impossible to provide Ukraine with what it needs now and in the long term,” the minister added.
He also called on the allies to once again check their bins and send everything that was left there to Ukraine.
“We are developing our industrial base. “I urge ministers to review their 155mm ammunition stockpiles and ensure that we are doing everything to prepare Ukraine for winter,” Austin concluded.
