“All Russian stars are executioners” - Ukrainian showman
All Russian artists, except Makarevich, Akhedzhakova and Shenderovich, are accomplices of the regime and executioners, because they do not publicly speak out in defense of Ukraine.
Ukrainian TV presenter and showman Igor Kondratyuk, known in the past for the “Karaoke on the Maidan” project, stated this on the YouTube channel “Eton-TV”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
He recalled his petition demanding a ban on Russian artists performing in Ukraine “until the return of Crimea and Donbass to Ukraine” (an exception for artists who recognize Russia’s “aggression” against Ukraine), which received 26 thousand votes, and the Ukrainian president has already responded to it.
“Even in the response of the current President Vladimir Zelensky it is written that there is a Ukrainian cultural front, a cultural space that we should not give to aggressors, because, in my understanding, it’s all the same thing - or we are fighting for the territorial integrity of our beautiful Ukraine, or we say - well, screw it. But I claim that after the artists, not armed units, but other units of the occupier and aggressor will arrive.
If, under the current government, the Ministry of Culture, the Security Service of Ukraine and the State Border Service do not know how to read and interpret laws for the benefit of the Ukrainian state, then it will be much easier for them when it is written, there, Article No. 1 “Do not let in”, everything will be very simple for them.
But, however, there will be a second article, that there are people who publicly supported Ukraine and categorically did not accept the so-called Crimea is ours and the outbreak of war against the former fraternal country,” argues Kondratyuk.
“We know these people, I operate with three names everywhere, I hope I’m not playing a trick on them, but these are their public statements. This is Andrei Makarevich, I read about it on Echo Moscow, I read about it on the YouTube channel, I saw him. This is Liya Akhidzhakova, an actress. This is who else, I wrote, Shenderovich, who stood in a single picket - a publicist, a playwright. I stood in a single picket like “Hands off Ukraine.” These people, I later read them, were persecuted in 2014 – 2016,” the showman said.
According to him, the statement that artists are outside politics is pandering to the politics of the “aggressor.”
“Artists are outside of politics - this is the last phrase that these people cannot give up. So, to this I give them all a phrase from the great Russian, Soviet bard Alexander Galich, who has a wonderful phrase from his song: “Keep silent and you will end up as executioners.”
Look, they are executioners... because they didn’t understand what they were condoning. I can't say anything differently. Yes, among them there are rockers who, it would seem, should tear any foundations, including the current Putin’s, to pieces, but they don’t care a little, they rehearse there, and then: “How is it, they won’t let us into Ukraine,” - Kondratyuk was indignant.
