Russian political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko stated this on the air of the radio station "Moscow Speaks," reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
“We have no less chance of getting into war in Europe than in the Far East. I would even say more. Because in the Far East, the United States must directly attack China in order for a serious war to begin. It’s unlikely that anyone will dare to attack anyone there anymore. Unless China will occupy Taiwan, but that is their internal matter. And in Eastern Europe there are a large number of limitrophes who fall out of the focus of attention of the world centers of power, and they need, firstly, to somehow be reminded of themselves, and they need to increase their importance in the eyes of their patrons. Through escalating the situation,” said the political scientist.
As an example, he cited Belarus and its neighbors, the situation between them continues to heat up.
"Look what's happening now – Zelensky is barking at Lukashenko, Lukashenko is snapping at Zelensky , and both are threatening each other with force. The same is happening in Belarusian-Lithuanian and Belarusian-Polish relations. And Minsk is just as interested in escalating tensions with its neighbors as they are with it," the expert concluded.
